Bhubaneswar: With winter in Odisha having set in, a fall in temperatures during the night time is being witnessed. A drop of about two to three degree Celsius has been recorded. The dry winds entering Odisha from the North-North western direction are leading to the drop the temperatures.
In the last 24 hours, several places across Odisha have experienced a night time temperature drop of two to three degrees.
Forecasts from the Regional Meteorological Department suggest that temperature in half of the cities of the state is likely to drop below 15 degrees by December 14. Further, the night time temperatures of areas like Phulbani and Koraput are likely to be recorded at about nine degree Celsius.
Presently, there is no forecast of any significant weather change over Odisha. The weather is likely to remain dry in the state for the next 7 days. Fog will also be visible at different places along with winter in Odisha.
