Wild bear attacks Forest Dept vehicle, people terrified in Odisha’s Koraput dist, watch

Jeypore: A wild bear attacked a Forest Department vehicle, while some officials of the department were sitting inside. People terrified to witness the large bear wreaking havoc on the street in Odisha’s Koraput district. The frightening scene was captured in a video clip which has gone viral now.

A wild bear was found roaming on the streets near Anuli in Boriguma area of Koraput district on Tuesday. People got frightened after witnessing the wild bear.

Reportedly, the Forest Department has initiated a rescue operation to catch the bear but though two days have passed, the wild bear is yet to be caught despite top efforts put by the officials.

In the video it was seen that the bear attacked the vehicle of the Forest department. It tore the bonnet of the vehicle with its sharp nails while the officials were inside the vehicle.

Reportedly, the bear first entered into private farm house. Frightened, about 100 staff of the farmhouse have taken shelter on the rooftop. They are not in a position to come outside.

Also, the bear reportedly attacked even a bike of the Forest department. It bit the front tyre and tore it.
