Vande Bharat Express escapes major accident in Odisha, watch

Nuapada: It was a close shave for the 20830 Visakhapatnam Durg Vande Bharat Express as it escaped a major accident near the Nuapada Road railway station in Odisha late last night.

The Vande Bharat Express was on its way to Durg from Vishakhapatnam at around 10 PM yesterday. However, it stopped about 100 metres away from the railway level crossing gate after the vigilant Loco pilot saw a large rock on the left side of a railway track.

After stopping the train, the loco pilot informed the station master about it. Soon, the concerned employees of the Railways rushed to the spot and removed the rock from the track, following which the movement of the train became normal after around one hour.

A team of cops from the Nuapada police station also reached the spot and started an investigation into the matter to find out who and why had placed the rock on the railway track.

Meanwhile, people appreciated the loco pilot for his presence of mind due to which he averted a possible tragic.
