Rairangpur: An undertrial prisoner escaped from Rairangpur sub-jail in Mayurbhanj on Saturday evening. The prisoner managed to escape from the main door.
According to sources, the prisoner, a resident of Badampahada area has been lodged in the jail since 2021 after being arrested for criminal activities.
The matter came to light after the jail authorities during checking found him missing from the jail premises.
Efforts are underway by the Rairangpur police and the jail authorities to nab him.
