Traffic restrictions to be imposed for Rukuna Rathayatra of Lord Lingaraj in Bhubaneswar, check details

Bhubaneswar: During the Ashokastami Car Festival which is better known as the Rukuna Rathyatra of Lord Lingaraj in Bhubaneswar tomorrow and day after tomorrow, traffic restrictions will be clamped in Bhubaneswar. Ahead of the Rukuna Rathyatra Commissionerate Police today issued the Traffic Advisory so that people can plan their movement in the Ratha road.
Rukuna Rathyatra will be celebrated in Bhubaneswar on April 5 and 6, and the return car festival will be observed on April 9 and 10. During celebration of the Ashokastami Car festival restrictions will be imposed.
As per the issued traffic advisory, no vehicles will be allowed on the Ratha road from Mausi Maa Chhaka. They will be diverted either towards Museum Chowk or towards Vivekananda Marg.
Besides, no vehicles will be allowed on Rath road from Barika Sahi lane, Maharana Sahi lane, Gosagareswar chhaka, Sital Sasthi lane, Tinimundia chhaka, Harchandi lane, Muna Medical lane and Punama Gate lane or any other lane/by-lane emerging at Rath road.
Also, no vehicles will be allowed on Rath road from Rath Khalaa. Those vehicles will be diverted from Rath Khala towards Bata Mahadev temple.
However, these above restrictions will not be applicable for the emergency vehicles including police, fire and ambulance.
