Traffic advisory issued for PM Modi’s visit and roadshow in Bhubaneswar, check details
The Prime Minister is visiting Odisha on June 20 (Friday) to participate in a public programme at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar to commemorate the completion of one year of the BJP government in Odisha.
Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar Cuttack Police Commissionerate today issued a traffic advisory for upcoming visit and roadshow of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Bhubaneswar.
The Prime Minister is visiting Odisha on June 20 (Friday) to participate in a public programme at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar to commemorate the completion of one year of the BJP government in Odisha.
As part of his visit and road show from Biju Patnaik International Airport to Janata Maidan, the Commissionerate Police imposed the following restrictions/diversion.
Route Line arrangement for Buses coming for the event:
Buses coming from Cuttack side (on NH-16):
- Avail the service road after Rasulgarh ROB – Vani Vihar Sqr. – Acharya Vihar Sqr. -Right turn – Apollo Hospital – Sainik School.
Buses coming from Khurda side (on NH-16):
- Avail the service road after Jaydev Vihar Sqr. flyover bridge Acharya Vihar Sqr.-left turn – Apollo Hospital Sainik School – NALCO Sqr. Kalinga Hospital road park their vehicle on the road in a single line from Railway towards Utkal Hospital and Hatiasuni chhak. Colony golei chhak
Buses Coming from Nandankanna side:
- NALCO Sqr. Kalinga Hospital road park their vehicle on the road in a single line from Railway Colony golei chhak towards Utkal Hospital and Hatiasuni chhak.
Buses Coming from Puri side:
- Kalpana Sqr. Raj Mahal Sqr. left turn- Sishu Bhawan Sqr. right turn- park their vehicle on the road in a single line from Sishu Bhawan to Capital Hospital Sqr.

Beside the above, the Goods Carriers (6 or more wheelers – trucks and trailers) coming from Khurda side intending to go towards Cuttack side through Bhubaneswar are not allowed to ply from Pitapalli Sqr. and those vehicles will be diverted at Pitapalli Sqr. towards Cuttack via Chandaka Sqr.
Similarly, the the Goods Carriers (6 or more wheelers – trucks and trailers) coming from Cuttack side will be diverted at Balikuda Sqr. towards Pitapalli Sqr. via Trishulia Sqr.
In view of the above programme, significant traffic congestion is anticipated in and around Bhubaneswar city particularly on the road i.e. from BPI Airport to Janata Maidan via Airport Sqr. Capital Hospital Sqr. AG Sqr. – left turn Raj Bhawan Sqr.- right turn Power House Sqr.- 120 Bn. Sqr. Shastri Nagar Sqr. – Behera Sahi Sqr.- Jaydev Vihar Sqr.- XIMB Sqr.- NALCO Sqr. and its connecting lane / by lane on 20.06.2025 from 3 PM to 6 PM or till the completion of event.
Commissionerate Police, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack request the public to plan their travel accordingly and extend their support in ensuring the success and security of the programme.
These above mentioned restriction will not be applicable for the emergency vehicles (Fire and Ambulance).
