Titlagarh sizzles at season’s record of 47 degrees C

Bhubaneswar: Mercury continued to soar across Odisha on Monday with Titlagarh recording the highest temperature of the season with 47 degrees Celsius.

As many as 14 towns in the state recorded temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius.

The places which recorded temperatures above 44 degrees C were Chandbali (40.1), Angul (44.1), Jharsuguda (43.6), Keonjhar (40.0), Balasore (44.2), Sambalpur (43.9), Sundergarh (40.0), Hirakud (43.8), Talcher (41.1), Bhawanipatna (45.2), Bolangir (46.5), Phulbani (42.2), Malkangiri (44.8) and Sonepur (44.8).

According to the Meteorological department, the heat wave condition will continue to prevail till the end of the month.
