Terrorists attack BSF camp in Srinagar

Srinagar: A group of terrorists attacked a BSF camp in Humhama near Srinagar airport in In Jammu and Kashmir early this morning by hurling grenades and resorting to heavy firing.

State Director General of Police Dr SP Vaid told media persons that a BSF officer lost his life and 3 other jawans were injured in the attack. Security forces killed two terrorists.

Operation was still continuing to neutralise the remaining terrorists, when this news was filed. Airport operations have been suspended as the security forces are fighting terrorists holed up in the 182nd battalion headquarters of BSF.

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has called a high level meeting to discuss the issue.

Meanwhile, Pakistan-based terror group Jaish e Mohammed’s “Afzal Guru Squad” has claimed responsibility for the attack.
