Suspected terror link: Odisha man pleads innocent, seeks NIA’s apology Cuttack: “I am innocent. I have no link with any terrorist.The National Investigation Agency (NIA) interrogated me without any reason. My image has been tarnished by NIA’s raid on my house. Therefore, the NIA officials and Cuttack SP should beg apology for their action,” said Akhtar Hussain Khan, whom an eight-member NIA team interrogated over suspected terror link yesterday.

While speaking exclusively to Kalinga TV over the NIA’s interrogation, Khan said, “I was seating outside my rented house yesterday morning when the NIA team came and said that they would conduct a search in my house. After not getting any arm and ammunition, repeatedly they said me that I possessed mouser and revolver and asked me to submit them. But, when I refused any link with the terrorists, they took me to the SP’s office in Cuttack and released me by 7 PM. They have seized my mobile, ATM Card, Bank Passbook, Checkbook and a diary.”

Notably, the national agency had conducted a raid on his house at Samantarapur slum under Kisan Nagar police limits in the district over suspected terror link yesterday. Later, he was taken to the office of Cuttack SP for further interrogation. However, was set free later in the evening after the investigating agency failed to get any clue of his link with nay terror group.

According to reports, Akhtar Hussain Khan is staying in Saudi Arabia for the last seven years.
