Some of his supporters welcomed the baba, who was lodged at Jharpada jail since his arrest, to the Ashram. He returned to the ashram as the Supreme Court has granted him bail in a land fraud case registered in Chhatrapur.
The Commissionerate Police had arrested him along with his two sons – Trilochan and Biranchi. Following his arrest, police and the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Crime Branch had attached his property worth crores of rupees from the Ashram.
Sources said that total seven cases have been registered against the self-proclaimed godman. While Orissa High Court had given him bail in four cases, a Bhubaneswar court had granted him bail in two cases.
