Stray bull rescued from atop 50 foot water tank after nine-hour in Bhadrak
A dramatic incident unfolded at Sayatalabandha village in Tihidi block of Bhadrak district after a stray bull climbed atop a 50-foot-high water tank of the village on Thursday.

As informed by sources, the stray bull accidentally climbed on the staircases at around 10 AM and continued to move forward and finally reached atop 50 foot water tank.
Initially, some villagers tried their best to bring it down but every moment the attempted, it moved higher and higher and moved around the water tank.
Soon, a large crowd of onlookers gathered at spot to witness the dramatic incident as stray bull did not make any attempt to come down.
Later, a team of firefighters arrived at the spot and with the help of the local police and villagers gave their best to bring the animal down. However, they had a herculean task as the bull continued to move around without giving any chance for them to touch itself.
A team of officials from the Animal Resources department, Tihidi BDO, and Tehsildar also arrived there and monitored the rescue operation. However, their every rescue attempt failed and the bull even attempted to attack the rescue tea by running towards them.
Finding no other means, the rescue team used a tower crane and managed to bring the bull down safely only when it became dark after nine hours of rescue operation.
Meanwhile, the heath condition of the stray bull is stated to be stable and normal. It was released safely after being provided with food and water.
