State-level Disaster Management Committee meeting to be held today

Bhubaneswar: A State-level Disaster Management Committee meeting will be held today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.

Reportedly, the meeting will also be attended by the Secretary-General, including the Minister of Revenue and the Minister of Agriculture as well as ministers and secretaries of other departments.

Earlier in the 2021 meeting, it was decided to open control rooms at all district headquarters, to open 15 temporary Very high frequency (VHF) centers in the forest.

There will be 20 Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF) teams in the Red Line area. As many as 49 vulnerable dams were identified to be monitored. Stocking up of medicines and essential items for three months.

In today’s meeting, the above-stated matters are likely to be discussed and take decisions.
