Special OTET exam to be held from 9.00 am today across Odisha

As many as 75, 403 teachers will appear for the special OTET examination tomorrow in 193 exam centers of the state.

Bhubaneswar: The Special OTET exam will be held today in as many as 193 exam centres across the state. The Board of Secondary Education has made all the necessary arrangements for the exam today.

As per the information, 75,403 teachers will appear for the special OTET examination tomorrow in 193 exam centers of the state.

There are two papers in the examination. The first paper will be held from 9 am to 11:30 am and the second paper will be held from 2 pm to 4:30 pm.

Ahead of that the BSE  has written a letter to the authorities to make arrangement and ensure 24-hour power supply in the exam centers. This has been done keeping the present weather condition of Odisha in view.

It has been predicted that Odisha will receive heavy rain in the coming three days due to a low pressure. A letter has been sent to all district education officers (DEOs) regarding this.

It has also been learned that the CCTV system has been installed in all the exam centers. The board has an integrated command control room. Officers can inspect all the exams from the Board office.

As low pressure and heavy rain continue across the state, the Board has written to all district education officers for 24-hour power supply at the examination centers. CCTV has been installed in all the examination centers, and the board has an integrated command control room.

Through this control room, the board officials can inspect all the examination centers from the board. Earlier, this examination was to be held on July 20, but the special OTET examination was postponed after the question paper went viral the night before the examination.

It has been made mandatory for all working teachers in the state to pass the Teacher Eligibility Test. The Supreme Court has made TET mandatory for teachers across the country. While the special OTET is being conducted in two papers, it has been decided that the first paper will be held from 9 am to 11:30 am and the second paper will be held from 2 pm to 4:30 pm. The board has issued instructions to the candidates to reach the examination center one hour before the commencement of the examination.
