Sorcerer creates ruckus in Odisha, chases and hacks youth for opposing his practices!
A sorcerer chased a youth and hacked him with an axe for opposing him. He sustained severe injuries and is critical.
Kantamal: In a shocking incident, a sorcerer reportedly chased and hacked a youth to death for allegedly opposing his black magic. The incident has been reported from Talapadar village under Manamunda police station in Boudh district.
The deceased has been identified as Rakesh Sethi and sorcerer identified as Kartik Jani.
According to information, Rakesh opposed to the black magic and other rituals performed by the sorcerer. Due to his opposition, many people questioned him and stopped going to him.
Infuriated over the opposition, he rushed to Rakesh’s house when he was sitting on his verandah. Seeing the sorcerer with an axe, he ran away from his house.
The sorcerer then chased him in the village and hacked him with an axe when Rakesh fell down. His family members rushed him in a critical condition to Sonepur medical for treatment.
The doctors there referred him to Burla medical College and Hospital (Burla MCH) for further treatment.
On the other hand, after attacking him, the sorcerer fled the scene. Police reached the spot and started an investigation into the matter.
