Boudh: In a shocking incident, two sisters attempted to kill their self by consuming poison in Mahalikpada village under Harabhanga police station limit in Boudh district on Thursday. The elder sibling Nalini Sahu (30) died while her younger sister Salina Sahu (20) is critical.
According to information, Nalini was married to Manoranjan Sahu (Montu) of the same village. Her younger sister Salina had gone to visit her two days before consuming poison. However, the reason behind their attempt to intake poison is yet to be ascertained.
They were rushed to District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) Boudh where doctors declared Nalini as dead. Salina is undergoing treatment for her critical condition. Police reached the spot and started an investigation into the matter.
Nalini and Manoranjan have a three-year-old son together.
