Shocking! Boyfriend kidnaps minor girl from tuition, attempts to gangrape with four friends
In a shocking and shameful incident, boyfriend of a minor girl allegedly kidnapped her while she was going for tuition classes and attempted gangrape her along with four of his friends in Udala area of Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district.
Baripada: In a shocking and shameful incident, boyfriend of a minor girl allegedly kidnapped her while she was going for tuition classes and attempted gangrape her along with four of his friends in Udala area of Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district.
Informing about the incident to the media persons, Udala police station IIC Banamali Barik said that one Prajnasu Das Babu, who happens to be the boyfriend of the girl, and four of his friends cunningly took the girl to a nearby forest on pretext of sightseeing on August 4.
However, taking the advantage of her loneliness, they attempted to gangrape the girl. Btu she managed to escape from their clutches and reached the home, the IIC informed.
After learning her ordeal, the family members filed a written complaint of abduction and rape against Prajnasu Das Babu and his friends at Udala police station, he added.
Barik further said that based on the complaint, a case (No.314) was registered against the girl’s boyfriend Prajnasu Das Babu and four others.
In course of probe, cops arrested Prajnasu and forwarded him to the court and efforts are also underway to trace and nab his friends who absconded after knowing about the police probe, the IIC said.
Meanwhile, police have recorded the girl’s statement over the incident which has sent a wave of shock among the local residents who sought stringent action against all the accused persons.
