Second day of winter session of Odisha Legislative Assembly begins

Bhubaneswar: The winter session of Vidhan Sabha commenced on November 26. The Congress MLAs had created a scene for the deaths occurring due to consumption of mango kernels in Odisha on the first day of the winter session of the Odisha Legislative Assembly.  They also demanded investigation into the matters. They also shouted slogans in front of the Speaker’s podium.

They complained that the investigation at the Regional Director (RD) level is not sufficient. The day one of winter session of the Odisha Legislative Assembly ended with slogans and protests by Congress and BJD MLAs.

Following the first day of the Assembly, the conduct of house proceedings on the second day of winter session has raised many questions. During the filing of the report, the Question Hour of the Assembly is going on. Matters related to agriculture and farmer’s welfare, food supply and consumers welfare, energy, cooperatives, fisheries and animal husbandry, handlooms, MSME (medium small and marginal enterprises) and science and technology are scheduled to be discussed today in the Assembly.

The winter session of the Odisha Legislative Assembly is to end on December 31, 2024. The winter session will have 30 working days.
