Berhampur: The Ganjam District Administration today declared closure of all schools in the district on September 6, Friday, due to forecast of heavy rainfall in the region.
All the teachers have been asked to remain present in their respective Headquarters for utilisation of their services as and when required by the District Administration.
The Met Department has forecast that heavy to heavy rainfall will likely to occur in the district and other areas in the state.
Issuing a “red warning” to four districts and calling for action, the Regional Met Centre said heavy to very heavy rain is likely at some places with extremely heavy downpour at isolated areas in Ganjam, Kandhamal, Kalahandi and Nabarangpur districts till Friday.
