Koraput: Odisha government on Sunday changed the school timings of all the schools to 10:00 am on Saturdays keeping in view the intense cold mornings in Koraput district.
As per the orders given by District Education Officer (DEO) all the school timings will be changed for Saturdays, keeping in view the temperature drop in the winters. This timing will continue till February 15, 2025.
This decision has been welcomed by the students and their parents as the severity of cold is expected to increase in December and January in Koraput.
On Saturday, Odisha government had hiked the prices of Midday meals given to primary schools and high school students in the government-run schools in the state.
