Sambalpur: Tainted ARI suspended for demanding bribe
Sambalpur Collector Bondar Siddeshwar Baliram today suspended Surendra Sa, the Assistant Revenue Inspector (ARI) posted at Sadar-IV RI Circle under Sambalpur Sadar Tahasil has been suspended for demanding bribe.
Sambalpur: Sambalpur Collector Bondar Siddeshwar Baliram today suspended Surendra Sa, the Assistant Revenue Inspector (ARI) posted at Sadar-IV RI Circle under Sambalpur Sadar Tahasil has been suspended for demanding bribe.
The Sambalpur Collector suspended the Assistant Revenue Inspector, who is accused of demanding Rs 3,000 from applicants for issuing certificates required for student admissions in educational institutions, with immediate effect.
During the suspension period, the Headquarters of Surendra Sa shall be under the Sub-Collector, Kuchinda and he shall not leave the Headquarters without obtaining the previous permission of the competent authority and he shall be entitled to the payment of subsistence allowance in accordance with Rule 90 of the Orissa Service Code.
It is to be noted here that Revenue & Disaster Management Department of the state government had earlier instructed all district collectors to ensure the speedy issuance of certificates for students seeking admissions without any bribe and corruption.
However, Surendra Sa was caught demanding money from the applicants to issue the certificates.
