Samaritarian rescues newborn girl in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: In a saddening incident, a newborn girl was rescued from the road side near Maharaj cinema hall under Saheed nagar police station limits in Bhubaneswar on Friday. The newborn girl has been admitted in Capital Hospital here.

According to information, a baby girl was found abandoned in the road side this morning. The child is only 21-days old. Jeevan Rout, the corporator of ward number 29 heard the child cry and rushed to rescue her.

Police reached the spot after receiving information. After preliminary check-ups the health condition of the baby is good, said the doctors.

However, this incident of abandoning newborn girls is not the first in Bhubaneswar. Earlier many such incidents have been occurring.
