Cuttack: In a shocking incident, the portion of a road in Cuttack caved in as an underwater pipe burst said reports on Saturday. The road caved in in the Nuapada area of Cuttack.
A pedestrian was saved by the breath of his teeth otherwise he would be involved in a major tragedy. A water pipe burst below the road in Nuapada area of Cuttack. This road connects Nuapada to Link Road. Now the traffic through this road is completely closed.
The road has been blocked on both sides and the repair work has started. The mayor of Cuttack has reached the spot and has inspected the situation.
It is worth noting that on July 8, the National Highway near Aiginia flyover road was also blocked, the traffic was disrupted. A mini truck fell into the sinkhole that was created. The flyover on the national highway was opened to the traffic just six months back.
