Road accident in Rairakhol: Pickup van overturns, 8 critical among 22 injured
The incident took place near Dhaurakhamani on the Bishipali Chhaka-Birmaharajpur road.
Rairakhol: In a tragic incident at least 22 people sustained injury as a pick up van overturned in Sambalpur district of Odisha on Thursday morning. As many as 8 persons of them have turned critical. The incident took place near Dhaurakhamani on the Bishipali Chhaka-Birmaharajpur road.
As per reports, more than 22 people were returning from Narayan Nagar after performing in a Naama Sankirtana. When their vehicle was crossing the Dhaurakhamani area on the Bishipali Chhaka- Birmaharajpur road, the driver lost control over the steering and the vehicle overturned.
Following the accident, the injured persons were first taken to Subalaya hospital. However, as 8 of them were in a critical condition they were then shifted to the district Headquarter hospital in Boudh.
As per latest information, four out of the 8 critical persons have been shifted to VIMSAR in Burla of Sambalpur district after their health condition deteriorated.
