Red warning issued for heavy rain in coming 24 hours for 4 Odisha districts
The warning has been issued for for Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sundargarh and Deogarh districts.
Bhubaneswar: Heavy rain has been predicted for western Odisha. As per the weather department, heavy to very heavy rain is likely in Jharsuguda, Sundargarh and Sambalpur districts while more rain is also expected in other parts of western Odisha. As per the weather forecast, more than 200 mm of rain may fall in some places.
It has also been forecast that the coastal depression formed in the northwest Bay of Bengal will cross Odisha. It will intensify further in the next 24 hours. It is likely to move west-northwestwards through Odisha in the next 24 hours. The Regional Meteorological Center has predicted this.
Accordingly, warning has been issued for heavy rain. It has been speculated in the weather forecast that the rain will continue till 6th September due to the effect of a low pressure area.
Besides, orange warning has been issued for 3 Odisha districts for heavy to very heavy rain today and yellow warning has been issued to 6 districts for heavy rain.
