Konark: A rare and strange marine species creature has been spotte on the Chandrabhaga beach in Konark area of Puri district in Odisha on Thursday.
Ahead of the cyclone DANA making landfall between Bhitarkanika and Dhamra, appearance of such a never seen before creature has raised many questions in the minds of the locals.
The rescued rare creature looks like a sea urchin. It is believed that strange creatures in the ocean may die during cyclones. Such an organism looks like a land-dwelling porcupine.
On the other hand, the sea has become turbulent due to the effect of cyclone ‘Dana’. IMD has warned about high tide in Odisha coast. High tide can occur up to 10 km from the beach.
On the other hand, the famous Sun temple of Konark will be closed on 24th and 25th October due to the cyclonic storm DANA. The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) Puri Circle Superintendent DB Gadanaik informed.
Such a decision has been taken for the safety of tourists due to the storm. So the temple will remain closed for visitors on Thursday and Friday. Also, the Museum of the Sun temple will remain closed.
Along with this, online ticketing booking has also been stopped. The administration has banned tourists visiting Konark from staying in Konark and Chandrabhaga for 3 days from today.
