Ramabhishek Niti to be held in Puri Srimandir today
The Srikhetra Sahijata that begun on Ram Navami will also come to an end today with several rituals dedicated to Lord Ram.
Puri: The Ramabhishek Niti to be conducted in the Puri Srimandir today. The Srikhetra Sahijata that begun on Ram Navami will also come to an end today. After the Madhyana Dhupa in Srimandir, the Nakshatra will be taken inside the temple after rituals.
They will be welcomed at the Jayabijaya dwara with Bhoga and ululations and escorted to the Dakhini chamber where further rituals will be done. For the Sandhya Angyamala, Lord Sriram, Sri Lakshman and Devi Sita will be taken in a palanquin to the Sri Jagannath Ballabh Math.
Two servitors will play the role of Bharat and Shatrughan and reach the Sri Jagannath Ballabh Math with the silver footwear (paduka) of Lord Sri Ram. After that the Abhishek Niti will be performed by the Goudabada sahi Akheda. Later on the Lords will return to the Srimandir. On the last day of the Sahijata Jatra, the Goudabada Sahi artists will perform Naga, medha, Nabasira, Saptasira, Panchasira and other martial arts.
