Rajendrabhishek Niti of Lord Jagannath to be held today in Puri Srimandir
This ritual being a secret ritual is performed in the darkness after closing the Jayavijaya dwara of the Srimandir.
Puri: The Rajendrabhishek Niti of Lord Jagannath at Puri Srimandir will be held today. The ritual will be held after the Sandhya Dhupa. After the Dhupa, the Lords will ascend on the ‘Madanamohan Khata’ after the ‘Angyanmala’.
The ritual is performed in the darkness after closing the Jayavijaya dwara of the Srimandir. After the ‘Alata Lagi Niti’, Dagara will propose about the marriage of Rukmini in front of Madanamohan.
After the Rajendrabhishek Niti, Madanamohan along with ‘Ghanta, Chata, Kahali and Patua’, the Lords will go for circumambulation (Bedha Parikrama).
On the occasion of Ekadashi tithi tomorrow, Rukmini Utsav will be performed as per the rituals. All the arrangements have been done for the rituals by the SJTA.
Due preparations and police force have been deployed keeping in view the crowd of devotees for tomorrow.
