Bhubaneswar: The Meteorological Center situated here in Bhubaneswar has issued a rain and thunderstorm alert for the next three hours in seven districts.
According to the weather bulletin, moderate rain and thundershower with lightning and one or two spells of intense heavy rain very likely. Rain shall be experienced in some parts of the following district namely:
SAMBALPUR, MALKANGIRI, BARGARH, KORAPUT, JHARSUGUDA, ANGUL, DHENKANAL
This weather phenomena shall be experienced within the next three hours the MeT Department further specified.
Further the weather department has issued a warning for water logging in low lying area, occasionally poor visibility and traffic disruption in urban area likely. The department has urged to avoid movement in affected area and make required arrangements for drainage of excess water. People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and act accordingly.
