Railways introduces more weekly special trains for festive season

Good news for the passengers, who were facing inconveniences to get a confirmed ticket to travel during the festive season, as the Indian Railways has decided to run more weekly special trains.

Bhubaneswar: Good news for the passengers, who were facing inconveniences to get a confirmed ticket to travel during the festive season, as the Indian Railways has decided to run more weekly special trains.

In order to provide a smooth travel experience and manage the increased passenger rush during the festive season, the Indian Railways will run two Weekly Special Trains.

The two special train will run as per the schedule below:

JHANSI–PURI–JHANSI WEEKLY SPECIAL (01929/01930):

  • Train No. 01929 Jhansi–Puri Weekly Special Express will depart from Jhansi at 11:55 hrs on every Friday up to 28.11.2025.
  • Train No. 01930 Puri–Jhansi Weekly Special will depart from Puri at 23:45 hrs on every Saturday up to 29.11.2025.
  • Halts in East Coast Railway: Bhadrak, Jajpur Road, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road and Puri.
  • Coach Composition: 2nd AC – 1, 3rd AC – 2, Sleeper – 8, General – 8, Second class luggage cum Divyangjan – 2.

NARANGI-SMV BENGALURU-NARANGI (06560/06559):

  • Train No. 06560 Narangi – SMV Bengaluru Weekly Special will depart from Narangi at 05:30 hrs on every Saturday up to 29.11.2025.
  • Train No. 06559 SMV Bengaluru-Narangi Weekly Special train will depart from SMV Bengaluru at 23.40hrs on every Tuesdays till 25.11.2025.
  • Halts in East Coast Railway: Duvvada, Kottavalasa, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam Road, Palasa, Brahmapur, Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Bhadrak.
  • Coach Composition: 2nd AC-01, 3rd AC-4, Sleeper-8, General Second Class-6, Second Class cum Luggage (Divyangjan) Coach-02.

These special train services are arranged to meet festive season demands and passenger convenience, covering important stations across the East Coast Railway zone.
