Patnagarh: A complaint has been lodged at Patnagarh Police Station alleging that a patient’s husband was brutally assaulted by hospital security staff in Patnagarh Hospital, in Balangir district of Odisha on Tuesday, over a video he recorded on his phone.

According to the complaint filed by Bhim Suna of Siletpada village, his wife was admitted to Patnagarh Hospital after being bitten by a suspected poisonous creature. Bhim alleged that when doctors did not arrive on time for treatment, he recorded a video on his mobile phone to document the delay.

He claimed the doctor later arrived and asked him to delete the video. When Bhim refused, hospital security personnel allegedly took him outside the hospital premises and beat him up. Bhim has filed a written complaint at Patnagarh Police Station seeking action in this matter.

Patnagarh Police have reached the hospital and started a probe into the incident.
