Odisha Plus Two exam: CHSE to install AI-enabled cameras to check malpractices
The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha, has decided to install AI-enabled cameras inorder to check malpractices during the upcoming annual Plus Two exam across the state.
Bhubaneswar: The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha, has decided to install AI-enabled cameras inorder to check malpractices during the upcoming annual Plus Two exam across the state.
According to Controller of Exams Prasanta Kumar Parida, the cooperation from all the colleges is encouraging and the Plus Two practical exams are going on smoothly. Most of the practical exams are completed while the last test will be held on January 15, he informed.
“We have set up a total of 211 exam hubs this year as per requirement. Usually, the exam hubs were kept under normal CCTV surveillance for round the clock. However, the CHSE will now install the AI-enabled cameras to keep a close vigil on the entry and exist of the concerned officials. We will get an alarm in case there is some movement inside the exam hubs and take action accordingly,” Parida shared.
Controller of Exams mentioned that the AI-enabled cameras will be installed at the exam hubs by February 10 and each of them will have a storage power of 128 GB with power backups.
On the other hand, the Higher Secondary Education Council has opened a control room in its headquarters and for the first time, the practical exams are being monitored from this control room. Due to this, the activities of externals including the students are also being monitored. Earlier, only theory exams were monitored from the control room.
It is to be noted here that this year the annual Plus Two exam will begin from February 18 and continue till March 25, 2026.
