Odisha PET teacher plays with 13 girls’ feelings, gets intimate with 1 on pretext of marriage before fleeing

The PET teacher of Prithvi Raj High School in Balangir got intimate with one girl on pretext of marriage before fleeing.

Balangir: In what can be considered as a stain in the scared relationship between a teacher and his student, a PET teacher (Physical Education Teacher) allegedly played with the feelings of as many as 13 girl students and fled after getting intimate with one of them on pretext of marriage. The incident has been reported from Odisha’s Balangir district.

The PET teacher has been identified as Saurabh Pradhan of Sauntpur village under Puintala Police Station limits. He was posted at Prithvi Raj High School in Balangir.

The matter came to light after a girl filed a police complaint against Saurabh Pradhan alleging that he betrayed her after keeping a physical prelateship with her on the pretext of marriage.

In the course of investigation, police came to know that Saurabh Pradhan came across the particular girl, a resident of Talpali village, on Facebook. Gradually, they fell in love and Pradhan allegedly got intimate with her assuring to marry her. He also allegedly captured the photos and videos of their intimate scenes.

Later, it was known that he was in relationship with 13 other girls, mostly his students with the same promise. Their photos and videos are now doing rounds on different social media platforms.

Speaking about the incident, the Headmistress of Prithvi Raj High School said that the accused PET teacher is not going to the school for the last several days and she is unaware of his whereabouts.

Meanwhile, a show-cause notice has been issued against Saurabh Pradhan for remaining absent from the school without prior information.

“A case has been filed against Saurabh Pradhan, a teacher of Prithvi Raj High School. Investigation is going on to trace the teacher and legal action will be taken against him if he is found guilty,” said Balangir SDPO Tofan Bag.
