Odisha govt likely to announce list of 9 new NACs today
CM had announced the formation of 21 new NACs on I-day. Earlier 12 names were proposed and today the rest 9 names may be announced.
Bhubaneswar: On the occasion of the Local Self Government day, the Odisha government is likely to present a gift in the form of announcing the names of nine new NACs.
Chief Minister Mohan Majhi is likely to announce the names of 9 newly formed Notified Area Council today. Salepur, Tangi, Jashipur, Kaptipada and Loisingha might get the status of NAC today.
The others in the list are Khaira(Balasore), Gondia (Dhenkanal), Sohela(Bargarh) and Bonai (Sundargarh).
He had during his Independence speech declared that as many as 21 new NACs will be formed. The proposed list of 12 NACs were announced earlier and today the names of nine NACs including Salepur (Cuttack), Tangi, Jashipur (Mayurbhanj), Kaptipada(Mayurbhanj) and Loisingha (Balangir).
On August 17, the proposed list of 12 new NACs were announced. This is expected to further strengthen the development of the state. The Chief Minister had announced on Independence Day for the formation of 21 new NACs in the state.
In Angul district Pallahara has been proposed as NAC. In Subarnapur district, Birmaharajpur was proposed.
From Balasore district, Simulia, Basta are likely to be accredited the status of NAC. From Mayurbhanj district, Betnoti, Bangriposi, Chitrada have been proposed to be created as NACs.
In Rayagada district, Bissam Cuttack and in Sambalpur- Bamra and Rengali while in Bhadrak district, Tihidi and Dhusuri will be given the status of NAC, said the proposed list of the government.
There is no name of Salepur in this list which is why the Salepur BJD called for a protest.
