Bhubaneswar: Odisha government today appointed new Deans and Superintendents at two Medical College & Hospitals of the State, informed the Health & Family Welfare Department.
As per the notification issued by the department, Dr. Kirtirekha Mohapatra, the Professor of Obstetrics & Gynaecology (O&G) Department at SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack is transferred and appointed as the Dean and Principal of Pabitra Mohan Pradhan Medical College in Talcher.
Likewise, Dr. Tarangini Das, the Professor of Anaesthesiology Department of SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack, is appointed as Superintendent of Pabitra Mohan Pradhan Medical College & Hospital in Talcher.
Similarly, Dr. Debaprasad Mohanty, the Professor of Anaesthesiology of SCB Medical College is transferred and appointed as Dean and Principal of Phulbani Government Medical College.
The notification further said that Dr. Narendra Behera, Professor, Paediatrics, MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur has been transferred and appointed as the Superintendent of Government Medical College & Hospital in Phulbani.
Earlier today, the Odisha government constituted the first State Law Commission and posted Justice Biswanath Rath, the former Judge of Orissa High Court as its Chairman. Advocate General of Odisha, Pitambar Acharya, and the Principal Secretary of Odisha Law Department were posted as the Ex Officio Members. Likewise, senior advocates Surya Prakash Mishra and Soura Chandra Mohapatra have been posted as members of the State Law Commission. This apart, the State government also posted the Secretary of the Commission who is ex-officio Additional Secretary to Government as the Member secretary.
