Odisha government announces to provide milk in Mid Day Meal schemes to school students
Odisha government has announced to provide milk in the mid-day meal (MDM) scheme given to students of government run schools.
Bhubaneswar: Odisha government has announced to provide milk in the mid-day meal (MDM) scheme given to students of government run schools. This was informed by Fisheries and Animal Resources Development Minister, Gokulananda Mallik on Tuesday.
According to information, the students will get 200 ml milk included in the Mid day meal scheme to increase the nutritional intake of the students. This milk would be enriched with Vitamin A and D. This will be given under ‘Gift Milk’.
As many as 1184 students in 29 schools will be be benefitted from this scheme. It will be started as a pilot project from Mayurbhanj.
For the scheme, Rs 38 crores will be spent. Under the Gokul Yojana 3000 cows will be provided said Minister Gokulananda Mallik.
