Odisha: FIR Lodged Over Disappearance of Two Judicial Inquiry Commission Reports from CMO Records

The case was filed based on a complaint by Odisha Home Department Joint Secretary Sarat Chandra Marandi.

Bhubaneswar: An FIR has been registered at Capital Police Station, Bhubaneswar, over the alleged disappearance of two key judicial inquiry commission reports from the office of the Chief Minister of Odisha (CMO) records.

The case was filed based on a complaint by the Home Department of the Government of Odisha, Joint Secretary Sarat Chandra Marandi. Police have registered the FIR and started an inquiry.

According to the complaint, these two important inquiry reports have gone missing from CMO records:

Naidu Commission Report: Submitted after investigation into the Laxmanananda Saraswati murder case.

RDC Inquiry Report: Filed following the 2016 fire incident at SUM Hospital, Bhubaneswar.

The Home Department has flagged the disappearance as a serious lapse in maintenance of government records.
