Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik approves appointment of 81 doctors

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday approved the appointment of 81 doctors in the state.

The government is going to fill the vacancies in the OMHS Group A Junior branch. As many as 81 candidates have become successful for the job through OPSC.

The doctors will be appointed in the Community Health Centres (CHCs). Out of the 81 posts, 47 are reserved for the Scheduled Tribe candidates and 34 are for the Scheduled caste candidates.

After being successful in the OPSC test the candidates attended E-counselling as per the rules of the General Administration Department. On this basis the medical officers will be appointed. Accordingly, the CM has approved today to give them appointment letters. By this, the vacancies in the CHCs will be filled while it will bring considerable improvement in providing service to patients.
