Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik Announces Financial Assistance For Newspaper Hawkers

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday announced special financial assistance to newspaper hawkers from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF).

Reportedly, an assistance of Rs 3,000 each was provided to all registered newspaper hawkers today, in the first phase.

A total amount of Rs. 6000 shall be given to the beneficiaries.

CM Naveen Patnaik also announced assistance of Rs 2 lakh for accidental deaths, Rs 1 lakh for natural deaths, and Rs 1.5 lakh for disability.

It is to be noted that the Chief Minister began the first phase of distribution today.

Earlier on Wednesday, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik launched the distribution of livelihood assistance of Rs 1,000 to each beneficiary covered under the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY).

The funds will also be distributed to the beneficiaries covered under the National Food Security Act and State Food Security Scheme.
