Odisha CM hikes Daily Allowance of Home Guards

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today increased the Daily Allowance of Home Guards from Rs 639 to Rs 650. This increased allowance will be implemented from January 1, 2026.

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today increased the Daily Allowance of Home Guards from Rs 639 to Rs 650. This increased allowance will be implemented from January 1, 2026.

It is worth noting that the Daily Allowance of Home Guards was increased from Rs 623 to Rs 639 on July 1, 2025.

Meanwhile, the 2 percent additional dearness allowance for regular employees of the state government has been increased from January 1, 2026. Keeping all this in mind, the Chief Minister has taken this decision for the Home Guards.

Though the decision is expected to have additional burden on the state exchequer, it will definitely provide additional financial support to thousands of Home Guards of the state.
