The supplementary budget aims to ensure effective implementation of priority welfare and development schemes, reflecting the government’s strong commitment to public welfare, the CM said.
The state is moving ahead with a clear vision to build a prosperous Odisha by 2036 and contribute meaningfully to a developed India by 2047, he added.
Majhi further said that the infrastructure development has been accorded highest priority to boost job creation, improve connectivity, and accelerate economic growth.
Odisha’s financial stability remains among the strongest in the country, with a well-managed debt profile and controlled interest burden.
Farmers, honoured as ‘Annadata’, will benefit from a more efficient and transparent paddy procurement system, ensuring no eligible farmer is left out.
Women’s empowerment is being strengthened by expanding coverage of the Subhadra Scheme and continuing support under the Mamata Scheme.
In education, Godabarish Mishra Model Schools will be transformed into institutions of national excellence.
Healthcare services are being improved with the introduction of new postgraduate medical courses and strengthened medical infrastructure.
Job opportunities are being created through a combination of government recruitments and private investment promotion.
The double-engine government is driving mega transformational projects including the semiconductor hub, coastal highways, and ring roads.
Odia identity and heritage are being preserved through initiatives like the Jagannath Temple Corpus Fund, cultural activities, and the Heritage Village Scheme.
Comprehensive development of tribal and scheduled caste communities is underway through PM-JANMAN and other dedicated welfare programmes.
Under Mission Power, the state aims to ensure that roads, electricity, and drinking water facilities reach every village.
