Odisha CM attends Commissionerate Police’s 16th Raising Day, launches two significant applications

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today attended the 16th Raising Day of Commissionerate Police as the chief guest and inaugurated two significant applications.

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today attended the 16th Raising Day of Commissionerate Police as the chief guest and inaugurated two significant applications.

During his speech, Patnaik congratulated the city cops for the glorious 16 years and said emphasized on the safety of the women. “Security of women is a top priority of my Government,” he said adding that the Police must work towards creating confidence among victims by taking a sensible and empathetic approach.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister inaugurated two significant applications: ‘the e-Abedan app,’ a user-friendly platform redefining convenience and efficiency by streamlining license and permission procedures, and ‘UCCC,’ the Unified Command and Control Centre, enhancing public safety through real-time monitoring and coordination for swift responses and improved law enforcement.

The inauguration of ‘e-Avedan’ and ‘UCCC’ reflects Commissionerate Police’s commitment to leveraging technology for enhanced citizen services and efficient law enforcement.

Over 300 police officers, including Guest of Honour DGP A.K Sarangi, the Commissioner of Police S.K Priyadarsi, Addl Commissioner of Police, DCP Bhubaneswar and DCP Cuttack, as well as other senior Police Personnel, retired police personnel and media representatives, joined the celebration.

The Chief Minister awarded prizes to commendable police officers, acknowledging their exemplary service and dedication.
