Odisha Cabinet approves 13 proposals of 7 departments, check details
The 44th meeting of the State Cabinet was held today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at the Conference Hall of Lok Seva Bhavan.
Bhubaneswar: The 44th meeting of the State Cabinet was held today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at the Conference Hall of Lok Seva Bhavan.
After the meeting, Chief Secretary Anu Garg briefed the media about the decisions of the Cabinet meeting. She informed that a total of 13 proposals of 7 departments were discussed and approved in the meeting.
According to her, one each proposal from the Water Resources Department, Fisheries and Livestock Department, Cooperatives, Agriculture and Farmers Empowerment, Food Supply and Consumer Welfare and the Revenue Department got the Cabinet nod while 7 proposal from Rural Development Department were approved.

- Cabinet approved the implementation of “MMSY-Connecting Unconnected Villages in Difficult areas (CUVDA)” for a period of 5 years i.e. from 2026-27 to 2030-31 with an outlay of Rs 1300 Crore towards execution of projects with a length of 1150.00 Km approximately targeted to be taken up and for completion of all ongoing projects of length 949.00 km under this scheme from 2026-27 to 2030-31. Bridges where required, will be taken up to provide new connectivity or improved connectivity in difficult places of the targeted area.
- Cabinet has approved for implementation of “MMSV-Connecting Missing Road Links (CMRL)” for a period of 5 years i.e. from 2025-26 to 2029-30 with an outlay of Rs.1917 crore. Cabinet has approved for execution of projects with a length of 3850 Km approximately during 2025-26 to 2029-30 and for completion of all ongoing projects under this scheme and providing connecting bridges/small CD works to existing roads wherever required.
- Cabinet has approved for implementation of the “MMSY- Improvement to Existing R.D Roads” for a period of 5 years i.e. from 2025-26 to 2029-30 with an outlay of Rs. 5750 crore. Cabinet has approved execution of projects with an approximate length of 17500 Km and for completion of all ongoing projects under this scheme targeted to be taken up in 2025-26 to 2029-30.
- Cabinet approved the implementation of “Mukhya Mantri Sadak Yojna (MMSY)” with an outlay of Rs. 4000.00 Cr over a period of 5 years i.e. from 2026-27 to 2030-31 to to take up new road projects with length of 4607.21 Km approximately along with completion of 115 Kms of ongoing road projects already being executed under the scheme.
- Cabinet has approved for implementation of the “MMSY-Transferred Roads Improvement Programme (TRIP)” for a period of 5 years i.e. from 2025-26 to 2029-30 with an outlay of Rs 6700 crore, for execution of projects with a length of 25,500 Kms approximately and for completion of all ongoing projects under this scheme.
- Cabinet approved implementation of “Setu Bandhan Yojana (SBY)” to take up 1750 new bridges in addition to completion of 1417 no of ongoing bridges with an outlay of Rs 11,000.00 Cr. Cabinet has also approved to extend the scheme up to 2030-31.
- Cabinet approved the Odisha Fisheries Service (Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2026.
- State Cabinet today has approved continuation of “Subsidy under State Agriculture Policy” for another five years, from 2026-27 to 2030-31 with a total outlay of Rs.2496.40 Cr. The Scheme will be implemented in all 30 districts of Odisha. During the five-year period, around 8,500 commercial agri-enterprise projects are proposed to be established with an estimated investment of Rs.2496.40 Cr.
- The State Cabinet today approved the lowest financial bid for taking up three Lift Irrigation Schemes in Cluster No.XXXVI with an objective to create an additional irrigation potential of about 4,330 Ha. in the district of Bolangir by lifting water from Tel River & Undar River (Patharla ISS) with an execution cost of Rs. 121,80,78,661.00 (Rupees One hundred twenty one crore eighty lakh seventy eight thousand six hundred sixty one) only (without GST) and O&M cost for fifteen years amounting to Rs 9,74,46,293.00 only.
- State Cabinet today approved the proposals of framing of Odisha State and District Commission Stenographers’ (Method of Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2026.
- The state cabinet approved amendments to the Odisha District Revenuo Sorvico (Mothod of Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 1983.
