Bhubaneswar: Odisha Government has tightens security at key offices in Bhubaneswar and also put all district collectors and Superintendent of Police (SPs) on high alert in view of the Congress-led Odisha Bandh tomorrow.

The Odisha Home Department has issued an order detailing stringent security measures for Lok Seva Bhawan, Kharavela Bhawan, Rajiv Bhawan, and Krushi Bhawan on during a 12-hour Odisha Bandh called by the Congress and allied groups.

Anticipating possible road blockades, closures, and law & order issues, the government has directed early office reporting, restricted visitor entry, regulated gate access, intensified ID checks, and urged staff to minimize movement within offices.

The Congress and allied groups have called for the bandh as protest against the tragic death of a Fakir Mohan Autonomous college student allegedly after facing sexual harassment.
