Odisha: 2 workers burnt in Dhenkanal, critical details here

Kamakhyanagar (Dhenkanal): In a tragic incident as many as two workers have been burnt in Dhenkanal district of Odisha said reports on Monday.  The two labourers have been identified as Jagga Mallik and Babuli Mallik.

According to reliable reports, the workers were allegedly pulling an iron rod when the rod came in contact with a 33kv wire and got charged. In turn the two worker were immediately charged as the electricity from the rod passed on to them.

The incident has been reported from under Kamakhyanagar police station limits in Aluajharan village. This morning, when 8 to 10 workers were working on the house, the 33 KV wire that passed over the house was accidentally damaged and they had not noticed it.

The other workers nearby rescued them and admitted them to Kamakhyanagar Medical Centre. After primary treatment, he was shifted to Cuttack SCB Medical College and Hospital as his condition became serious. However the other workers seemed to be safe.
