Sambalpur: In a bid to erase crime from the city, the Sambalpur police shot at a wanted criminal. The bullet hit the foot of the wanted criminal on Tuesday in the Airstrip road.
The Ainthapali police of Sambalpur chased a wanted criminal and shot at a wanted criminal of Sambalpur in the Airstrip road this morning.
The wanted criminal was identified as Mahesh Kumar. The bullet hit his left foot and he then the police nabbed him. He is undergoing treatment at VIMSAR Medical college and Hospital, Burla.
The police seized guns, bullets and Rs 40,000 cash. As per reports, Mahesh had looted the cash on Monday. At first Mahesh shot at the police. In retaliation, the police shot back.
