National Transforming Film Education conference commences in Kolkata

The three-day-long National Transforming Film Education conference has started at Satyajit Ray Film And Television Institute (SRFTI) in Kolkata.

Kolkata: The three-day-long National Transforming Film Education conference has started at Satyajit Ray Film And Television Institute (SRFTI) in Kolkata. Neerja Sekhar, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, inaugurated the program at SRFTI.

The program was held in the presence of the director of SRFTI Himansu Sekhar Khatua and was graced by UGC Joint Secretary Abhirul Kapoor, C.K. Murlidharan, Rakesh Ranjan, Sankalp Seshran, Amit Sen, Dr. Abhishek Kumar, Michael Joseph, and other esteemed personnel.

SRFTI Director Himansu Sekhar Khatua has stated that One Nation One Film education system should be introduced during his speech. He added that the quality of the films will improve if this system is implemented in the academies. KIIT School of Film and Media Sciences professor Susanta Bahinipati, Associate Dean Ganeswar Bahinipati, Rakesh Kumar of Biju Patnaik Film and Television Institute also attended the conference.
