Bhubaneswar: In the Nabaghana Pattshani death case, the police took the two accused to the spot and recreated the crime scene on Tuesday. In a shocking case, a man went missing from the capital city of Bhubaneswar and his dismembered body was recovered from Niali. The family has filed a murder charge in this regard.
The man was murdered by his business associate Bunty. It is worth mentioning here that Nabaghana had lent money to the alleged accused Bunty. Whenever he used to ask for money Bunty used to verbally abuse him. To take revenge Bunty called him to a lodge and stabbed him to death.
The accused had then systematically erased all the evidence and disposed off the murder weapon in the Gobindapur Niali river. But the CDR (call detail record) gave the required information. The murder had taken place with regard to a loan of Rs. 4 lakh.
The deceased identified as Nabaghana Pattshani alias Banka. On July 17 he left from Baramuda in his SUV, a Mahindra Fortuner, but he did not return home. The family first went to Khandagiri police station and then to Bharatpur police station and lodged a missing complaint.
A day later, the family found out that another person was driving his vehicle and informed the police. The Bharatpur police seized the vehicle from Soubhagya Nagar area. At that time, the police came to know that Nabaghana had borrowed some money against the vehicle.
On July 20, his dead body was found from the bank of Kandal river under Gobindpur police station in Niali. There were bruises on the head and neck. There was also heavy bleeding. At that time, the Gobindpur police investigated and registered a case of unnatural death and due to non-identification conducted a post-mortem Suo motto.
Later, the family found out that the body belonged to Nabaghana. He was identified by the copper ring worn on the finger. Now the family has accused someone of killing him. The family members informed that the murder was related to loan related transactions.
