Miscreants pelt stones at Daspalla BDO’s vehicle, police complaint lodged
In an unfortunate incident, some miscreants reportedly pelted stones at the vehicle of Daspalla Block Development Officer (BDO) today raising eyebrow over the safety and security of government servants.
Nayagarh: In an unfortunate incident, some miscreants reportedly pelted stones at the vehicle of Daspalla Block Development Officer (BDO) today raising eyebrow over the safety and security of government servants.
Daspalla BDO Sarat Chandra Mallik had reportedly gone to the Nachhipur Grama Panchyat in Nayagarh district to monitor the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) activity.
During his visit, the BDO and the local Sarapanch also provided government assistance to an affected person of a fire mishap. Later, he was returning to Daspalla along with his driver in a Bolero vehicle with registration no- OD02 DR 2480.
However, two bike-borne miscreants reportedly hurled stones at his vehicle some 200 metres away from the Nachhipur Grama Panchyat office and fled from the spot. Though, both the BDO and his driver escaped unhurt, the front windshield of the vehicle was damaged due to the stone pelting.
Later, the BDO lodged a complaint at Daspalla Police Station seeking a proper investigation and arrest of the accused involved in the incident. Based which, cops started a probe to identify and arrest the attackers.
Meanwhile, the BDO alleged that some local residents of Nachhipur were not happy with his works and even had issued threats for not fulfilling their self-centered demands.
