Miscreants loot Rs 2.4 lakh after breaking Scooty dickey in Odisha’s Balangir district: Watch

Balangir: Miscreants looted Rs. 2 lakh 40 thousand in broad day light after breaking the dickey of a Scooty in Bangomunda area of Balangir district in Odisha on Monday. The whole loot scene has been caged in CCTV footage while a complaint has been lodged with Police in this connection.

As per reports, businessman Roshan Meher of Bhalumunda village under Bangomunda Police limits today withdrew Rs 2 lakh 40 thousand from the main branch of the State Bank of India in Kantabanji.

He put the cash money in the dickey of the scooty that he was riding and was returning home. On his way home, when he had gone to a Chemist to buy medicines at the Golei Chowk of Bangomunda, two miscreants allegedly broke the dickey of his scooty and fled away with the cash money.

Roshan reportedly chased the miscreants but in vain. Later, a Police complaint was lodged about the loot and accordingly Bangomunda Police swung into action.

The whole loot scene has been caged in a CCTV installed at the Medical store. It has been suspected that the miscreants were following Roshan from the Bank from where he withdrew money. Further probe of the case is underway.
