Miscreants loot 1.5 kg silver, more than 100 gram gold, cash Rs 20 lakh from house in Odisha’s Balasore dist

Jaleswar: Miscreants looted 1.5 kg silver, more than 100 gram gold and cash Rs 20 lakh from a house in the Balasore district of Odisha yesterday night. The incident took place in the Gangadharpur village under Basta police station limits, Velora panchayat.

The loot reportedly took place in the house of Laxmidhar Patra of Gangadharpur.

As per reports, taking advantage of the fact that no one was home, the miscreants broke the lock of the house late at night and looted it and fled. The miscreants looted more than 1.5 kg silver, more than 10 bhari gold ornaments. Along with this, the miscreants fled with cash worth Rs 20 lakh.

When the family returned home they found that all the things were scattered while the door lock was broken. They reportedly found that all gold and silver ornaments as well as Rs 20 lakh cash had been looted.

Accordingly, later Laxmidhar filed a complaint in this regard at the Basta police station. After getting the complaint, police personnel from the Basta police station went to the spot and initiated investigating.
